Makeup Reviews- Estee Lauder Limited-Edition Signature Eyeshadow Quad

Makeup Reviews- Estee Lauder Limited-Edition Signature Eyeshadow Quad

It’s hard, when thinking of the makeup industry, foe Estee Lauder not to come to mind. With their revolutionary products in both makeup, and skin care, it’s no wonder that Estee Lauder is one of the most well-respected companies. I have always been satisfied with whatever I have ever used from Estee Lauder and their new Limited-Edition Signature Eyeshadow Quad in Rose Gold. These four expertly-chosen shades complement each other perfectly, and they were just the thing to get me in the mood for fall. Its formulated to go on smoothly and last throughout the day, so my eyes look bright and sophisticated throughout the day. I especially loved how the powder didn’t migrate to the crease of my eyes as the day wore on, as some eye shadows that are formulated to be silky have a tendency to. I felt confident going through the day without having to constantly check my eyeshadow. Plus, the Eyeshadow Quad also comes in the more vibrant Rose Amethyst (as shown in the picture).

Also, for a limited time with any product over $29.50, you will receive a free gift (this is one of my favorite times of the year)! The kit (all coming in chic, red makeup bag) contains a mirror, a Soft Clean Tender Cleanser, a seven day supply of Resilience Lift Extreme Moisturizer, a MagnaScopic Maximum Volume Mascara in Black, and your choice of a warm or cool palette. And if you place an order of $55.00 or more, they will also send four professional makeup brushes. Click image to view and purchase product.

Skin Care Review- Coconut Body Butter at The Body Shop

Skin Care Review- Coconut Body Butter at The Body Shop

So the other day I went shopping to a local mall, and decided to drop into The Body Shop, and tried out their new organic Coconut Body Butter, and oh my goodness! I am usually not a big fan of Coconut smells, but as soon I opened the sample my senses took a trip to tropical paradises and sandy beaches. It’s formulated to be thick and creamy, and yet easily absorbs into the skin. It only took a moment for the rich cream to soak in, leaving my skin feeling lusciously smooth and smelling absolutely fantastic. Also, the Coconut oil, Shea butter, and coconut butter was all shipped in from the soman islands through community trade suppliers, ensuring that they are 100% natural and organic, obtained through only natural processes without nasty chemicals. Finally, a product which leaves the skin soft, and the mind well-rested knowing only the best is going on the skin. Click to view and purchase product.

Mineral Makeup 101: How to master a flawless face using mineral foundation

Makeup Review- Korres Lip Butter

Makeup Review- Korres Lip Butter

Though I really am not usually crazy about makeup products that I have to apply with my fingers (though I am a big chap-stick buff), Korres Lip Butter is the exception. I first saw this product featured in Marie Claire, and was intrigued by the fact that it serves not only as a balm, but as a stain. Instantly I was satisfied with the results, the stain was even and long-lasting, and worked on both my cheeks and my lips. Plus, because of its rich formulation my lips stay soft and supple. My favorite colors were Quince ( a pretty, sheer rose color) and Pomegranate (sheer coral), though the butter comes in 5 other tints. Also, it’s infused with Shea butter, though really it’s not what’s in this wonder product that counts, its what isn’t in it. Korres lip butter is made without any sulfates, synthetic fragrances of dyes, petro-chemicals, or GMO. Click image to view and purchase product.

Makeup Review- Covergirl Lash Blast Mascara

Makeup Review- Covergirl Lash Blast Mascara

Though I have tried many Mascara’s in my makeup past, ranging from the expensive to the drug-store deals, the best to date is Covergirl Lash Blast Mascara in Black. It’s formulated to surround each lash, maximing your lashes volume potential. I loved the wand because it not the traditional brush shape, instead its a thick end with spokes which evenly distribute the mascara with no clumping (and I mean it, absolutely no clumping). As soon as I put it on it instantly boosts the volume in my lash line. It’s not for lengthening, so sometimes I will layer it over a lengthening mascara (try any of the double-extend mascaras). Other than that, this is an absolute staple in my daily routine. Click image to view and purchase product.

Makeup Review- Clinique’s Defining Liner for Lips

Makeup Review- Clinique’s Defining Liner for Lips

Personally, I don’t think a woman should go through the professional day without lining her lips. Its anchors lip color and just make lips look more defined. The creamy formula goes on smooth and creamy, and goes on thick enough without making lips feel heavy or dried out. My color preference was pomegranate (only because a lot of the lipstick shades I use are pink-based), but the liner comes in seven other fabulous shades. Plus, Clinique makes the morning routine easier by building in a sharpener in the lid, so time isn’t taken from the day for hunting for a sharpener!

Makeup Review- mark Eyemarker Color On Line

Makeup Review- mark Eyemarker Color On Line

Though the bright neon eyeliners which seem to be becoming more and more popular in magazines these days, I can never bring myself to take on these violently loud color for an everyday outing. Instead, I take the less daring path, by wearing jeweled-inspired hues at more mellow tones. Mark’s Eyemarker ‘Color on Line’ in Enchanted Forest, Lapris and Wine are my usual go-to liners when I feel like doing something different. These twist-up eye pencils go on smoothly and last throughout the day, without having to continuously re-apply it. There was nearly no smudging, though I did set the liners with corresponding shadows (also by Mark). For those who are interested in trying these top-quality liners, but not interested in the colors, they are also offered in Java and Jet. Click images to view and purchase product.

Makeup Review- Guerlain Meteorites Illuminating Pressed Powder

Makeup Review- Guerlain Meteorites Illuminating Pressed Powder

Though Guerlain’s Meteorite Pearls have been raved about by women for years, they were a bit inconvenient. Now Guerlain is offering the same quality in a more convenient pressed powder form. The pressed powder corrects color imperfections, conceals, and adds a radiant glow without making the face look too shiny. The compact contains four color shades; the center pearl corrects redness and helps conceal under eye circles or cover blemishes, and the rest goes on the rest of the face to blend makeup and add radiance. And though when the compact is first opened and the top layer of the product looks like it has a lot of luster, it goes on the face matte. The Pressed powder comes in three different shades: Mythic Parfait, which is for fair more pink complexions; Rose Frais, which is for medium more peachy skin tones; and Beige Luminex for darker tones. I am currently using Rose Frais, which blends beautifully with my summer glow and goes beautifully over my makeup (I usually blush it all over my daily makeup to add glow), though when the winter months come around I will have to switch to Mythic Parfait. I recommend this product to anyone who wants radiant skin. Click image Below to View and Purchase product.
